We had a room in the garden wing, with a nice outlook over gardens with all amenities such as a kitchinette, fridge, washing machine and free WiFi. Downstairs and in the main building there is a library, games rooms, swimming pool, sauna, mini mart, beauty salon, business centre, and restaurant. There is a substantial buffet breakfast with plenty of choice. The a la carte menu for lunch/evening meals is predominantly asian food but there are some western options if you don’t want to chance the more spicy dishes! Its all cooked freshly to your choice and is very tasty.
They have a free tuktuk that takes you up and down to the main road, very handy if you come home with lots of shopping! It stops right next to some lovely gardens, nice to sit and relax in the shade. If you go left onto Sukhumvit you come to Nana BTS station. Turn right and you are handily placed for Asok BTS station, Times Square shopping complex, the new Terminal 21 shopping centre and various supermarkets, department stores etc. (If you go down the steps to the bottom floor of Times Square you will find Lorenzo tailors. Definately to be recommended, he does a perfect job and is very fairly priced. Take an example of clothing and the material and he’ll replicate the garment to the last little detail. If you go further along past Times Square you eventually come to a material shop on the corner, a great place for lovely fabrics!)
Overall I’d recommend this Centrepoint as suitable for anyone who wants a more than decent place to stay at a reasonable price. There are certainly cheaper places but they tend to be in rather seedy or noisy areas and are a lot less clean and comfortable. I’m sure you wouldn’t be disappointed by the service and standards here. Its handy for all the shops, bars, clubs, restaurants, BTS access and the metro station. What more could you want?
Room Tip: All the rooms are good, in the main building you get the option of a higher floor/lake view or in the garden wing you are surrounded by nice trees and garden area.
